Who wants to get fit? Well, I am here to help you accomplish your goals! My name is Kelly and I have been a Fitness Instructor here at New World Family Health and Wellness Center since Feb. 1997. Even if you don't know me, you must have heard me around the gym! Fitness is not just my job, it is my lifestyle. I have a keen interest in health and fitness and a great appreciation of how they impact one's everyday life.

So, here are my credentials - I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Memorial University in 1995. In April 1996 I was first certified as Basic Fitness Leader and haven't stopped moving since! I have my certificates from Can-Fit Pro as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. I have also completed training in Studiocycling with Reebok, and Rowing with Concept 2. I lead all sorts of other fitness classes too, including Step, On the Ball and Ab Blaster. I have been an innovator of new group fitness class types such as Boot Camp, which focus on interval training, and Tri-It which combine rowing, spinning and running into one fun-filled hour! I am certified with Stott Pilates, the leader in the Pilates industry. Now, I help people connect body and mind through Pilates, either in a group setting or one-on-one.

My love of everything outdoors has taught me the importance of proper athletic conditioning. I am part of a successful sailing crew, have competed in running, mountain biking and adventure races, as well as the New World Fitness Triathlon team event. Hiking with my friends or wakeboarding at the pond fill in any other down time. During the winter I enjoy cross-country skiing but downhill skiing borders on addiction! In any activity the same rule holds true: The better your level of fitness, the more you are going to enjoy it. Let me help you get and stay motivated.
