Babysitting

Babysitting Policies

Registration and Booking

Members wishing to use the babysitting services, must reserve a space for their child using the registration procedures in the  Registration and Booking section.  Drop-ins are allowed by any member, however preference is given to children enrolled in the program. Drop-ins must call ahead to reserve a space.

Babysitting is available Monday to Friday on Monday Wednesday, and Friday the hours are 8:30 to 10:30 and on Tuesday it is 8:30 to 12:00 and Thursday it is 8:30 to 11:00.

The maximum amount of time that any child may be in babysitting is 2 hours.

New World Family Health and Wellness Centre will accept 6 children per sitter (only one of the six can be under the age of 1 year).

Parents must remain at New World Family Health and Wellness Centre at all times when their child is in the babysitting area.

All children left in the care of the babysitter must behave in a manner that is not disruptive or harmful to other children. If the babysitter cannot control the child, New World Family Health and Wellness Centre is under no obligation to accept the child in the babysitting program.

Please do not bring your child if he/she has the flu, cold or any other contagious condition. New World Family Health and Wellness Centre reserves the right to refuse the child if he/she is sick.

In the event that the child is upset on a certain day, the babysitter will ask that the parent take the child home early on that day.

New World Family Health and Wellness Centre is not liable for any personal injuries or damage to personal property while the individual is in the babysitting area. Please do not have your child bring breakable or valuable toys (they are permitted to bring other toys).

New World Family Health and Wellness Centre reserves the right to modify the babysitting program when deemed necessary.
